PROF. GERO MADELUNG INTERVIEW

MEMORIES OF A FLIGHT PIONEER

The 90th birthday was taken as an opportunity ...

... to conduct an interview with Prof. Gero Madelung, the nephew of Willy Messerschmitt and also an aircraft engineer (died on 13 December 2018). He described his career with exciting memory pictures and looked back on a time when the dawn of the age of aviation was gathering pace. The interview took place in September 2017, in Manching at the Messerschmitt Museum of Flight. The recording is divided into two parts.
