Before you start your enquiry, read the carefully compiled information hereafter, please. Thank you.

The Flugmuseum Messerschmitt is only open to the public to a limited extent as it is located within the Airbus premises. Museum tours take place approximately once a month. The number of participants is limited and subject to certain conditions. Please note that your request does not constitute a registration. Your booking for the museum tour is not guaranteed until final confirmation is received from Airbus. Please read the requirements for your visit hereafter before submitting your request:

Conditions and Requirements for your visit


  • Children under the age of 16 may not visit the site.

  • If EMC (ElectroMagnetic Compatibility) tests are being carried out during your visit, then, according to the occupational insurance requirements set out in BGR [Occupational Insurance Rules] B11, a restricted area for persons with electrical medical aids according to VDE [Association for Electrical, Electronic and Information Technologies] 0848 Part 3-1 (Feb. 2001)shall be put in place. Persons with electronic medical aids (e.g. pacemakers) may not take part in factory tours if EMC tests are being carried out during their visits. If this is the case, we will inform you in advance.

  • Taking photos is prohibited on the site. This applies also to the use of mobile phones with cameras. The museum is the only exception. Inside the museum, you are permitted to take photos, however photos showing the outdoor area are prohibited.

  • Please note that only visitors who are registered by name are permitted access to the site. Important: Personal ID or a passport must be on hand for use as identification on the day of the visit.

  • Due to the high level of security on the site, no access will be granted for citizens of blacklisted countries according to the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs and Energy.

  • Visitors may not leave the group during the visit.

  • Touching the aircraft or parts of them, pets, smoking, eating and drinking are not permitted in the hangars.

  • Smoking is only permitted in the site’s designated smoking areas.

  • There is no room available to store baggage or rucksacks for reasons relating to space as well as security and insurance. If possible, please avoid bringing any baggage with you on the tour.

  • In case of inappropriate behaviour, you may also be asked to leave the site during the tour.

  • As a host, Airbus Defence and Space GmbH reserves the right to postpone or cancel tours—including at short notice—for operational or security-related reasons. No claims for compensation may be made against Airbus Defence and Space GmbH.
